Novëm: the first nut-based cosmetics brand!
The Novëm company has been manufacturing natural cosmetic products based on walnuts for two years – from Cognin les Gorges more precisely because Novëm has established a partnership with the Michallet farm which produces organic walnuts!
The nut has many virtues other than food, it is antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and even anti-aging! Still little used in the cosmetics industry, creating nut-based skincare products was therefore a real challenge.
It was Maegan Rocca, a young Grenoble graduate from Grenoble Ecole de Management, who, with her spouse, had the idea of creating a brand of eco-responsible and natural cosmetics made from nuts. In collaboration with the Faculty of Pharmacy and formulation experts, they have both developed a range of face and body care using nuts in all their forms: they use walnut oil but also nuts, nut powder and even nut shell powder.
While remaining in a minimalist logic, because Novëm does not offer a multitude of products but just the essentials for a daily routine. The big brands are seduced, like the Galeries Lafayette. In addition, Novëm recently expanded its range with a make-up remover as well as a walnut-scented candle; which allows him to now set foot in the linear art of living.
A committed and local gift idea for the holidays
Committed because the products are made in a short circuit: the raw materials are sourced locally, the manufacturing is done in a laboratory in the region and the soaps are made by a soap maker in Grenoble.
And Maegan pushes the eco-responsible approach to packaging that is recycled, recyclable, refillable and biodegradable! This means that in addition to a treatment, you are doing something for the planet.
Novëm's ambitions for 2023
Novëm continues to expand its distribution network: the existing products that can be found on their website and in some major stores are beginning to be available in pharmacies but also in beauty salons throughout France. Novëm hopes to reach 300 resellers in 2023.
And at the same time, Maegan and William are thinking about working with walnut leaf to position themselves in the nutricosmetics market in a few years.
